FAQs for Parents Interested in enrolling their children

 

​What ages do you accept for music lessons?

We offer a variety of lessons/classes for ages 18 month old to adults. Our lessons are tailored to meet the needs and abilities of each individual student. An appropriate age for piano lessons is between 6-7 years old. For guitar, students must be at least 8 years old or older. Please reach out to us to schedule a trial lesson to determine if lessons are a good fit for the age of your child depending on the instrument.

          Private instruction - ages 4 yr through adult

          Music & Movement (Mommy & Me) - ages 18-48 months

          Combo Dance Classes - ages 4-12 yrs

What days/hours do you teach?

Most music lessons occur between the hours of 9:00am-12:00pm and 3:00 pm-8:00pm Monday through Friday. We have a couple of instructors available on Saturdays/Sundays, availability is limited.

What types of instruments do you teach?

We offer a variety of music lessons, including piano, guitar, voice, and more. Our experienced instructors are skilled in teaching a range of musical instruments and styles.

Do you provide instruments for lessons?

We provide some instruments at the studio for use. We do not provide instruments for students to take home. Our instructors can provide guidance on where to purchase or rent instruments.

How long are your music lessons?

Our music lessons are typically 30-60 minutes long, depending on the age and ability of the student. We offer flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of busy families.

What is the cost of music lessons?

Our music lessons are competitively priced and vary based on the length and type of lesson. Please visit our rates & policies page for more information about rates.

Will I need a book?

Some teachers prepare material for students while others use method books. Your teacher will let you know at your first lesson.  The cost of books are not included in tuition and are billed separately.

Dance - Does my child need special clothing/shoes?

No, we encourage our students to wear comfortable clothes. Students are encouraged to wear socks instead of tennis shoes as the flooring is sticky. A $10 registration fee will cover the cost of a dance shirt for students to wear for performances.

Do you have performance opportunities for students?

Yes, music students will have 2 recital opportunities each year. Recitals are held in early December and late spring. Dance students will have performance opportunities at various community events.
